A Fine pair of Louis XVI style blown and hand cut cobalt glass vases mounted in gilt bronze. French, circa: 1850-1870. Measuring: 7.5 " high.
The bodies of each vase are hand blown cobalt glass. Each has hand cut facets in a swirl pattern that revolves around the entire body. The vases are mounted in ormolu. The tops exhibit swags of drapery with chains cascading from central rings. Bottom of vase mounted in gilded bronze circular cups raised upon round and square stepped plinth bases.
The glass most probably by the Baccarat factory.
